The SEO industry is changing rapidly. With increasing advancement in science and technology, many new tactics and tools have been introduced in the market and the IT sector which can help your business to achieve a good rank on the search engine. A better ranking on search engine popularizes your company amongst a mass, without many efforts.

Following are some tips which may help you on dominating search in local marketplaces:

1) Optimize your business listing properly

Google My Business is the core of SEO strategy. It contains all the kinds of information about your business and also presents it in the best way to search engine users. So, if you optimize your business listings properly, then it will be a lot easier for the potential customers to find your company on the web. Poor optimization only harms your ranking and ultimately reputation of your business.

2) Presentation is very important

The all over presentation of the web page containing information about your business is very crucial. For example, in a general business page, you are allowed to upload 3 photos- profile, logo, and cover. Make it worth. Make sure the photos you upload, speaks about the identity and authenticity of your brand or company. It should not be any vague photos, telling nothing about your business and seems out of the league.

3) Length of the keywords

It is a true fact that the length of the keywords affects the buyer’s intentions. Short-keywords are comparatively harder to rank. They are usually a part of information based searches. For example- you name your company BLUE WHALE, and you search this term, then the higher ranking will be for the links providing information of the animal blue whale and not your company. So, try to keep precisely longer keywords so that your company gets a better ranking.

4) Article’s length and focused keywords

Many times your web page contains articles of various kinds, it can be about the company or its policies etc. Try to make your content great rather than good. Make sure the article is precise and gives enough information. It should be easy to read. Use simple yet catchy words and one-liners. According to a study, shorter articles don’t provide much value and longer articles rank higher on Google SERPs.

Also, the keywords and the articles should not sound unnatural by any means.

5) The URL structure

It is one of the most important things to consider in order to dominate search rankings. Make sure to use canonicals to URLs. It simply puts an emphasis on the title and makes it visible on the search engines like Google. This proves imply involves activating the permalinks > postname option. This way your title is translated into an attractive and appealing keyword.

So, if you want a good name and popularity of your web page or company website, then just follow above mentioned few steps and you will end up getting very good rankings on any search engine.

SEO Tips No Comment

Every one of us is aware of the fact that online marketing is very important. But, with it comes to some complications as well. One of the major draw backs of online marketing is negative SEO, and it is very real. It has the possibility to destroy or damage your website through the use of malicious back links and aggressive back link spamming.

It is a legitimate danger which can result in loss of organic search visibility as well as revenue of the business. The person doing this tries to block down your website by hundreds of spam links, number of fake reviews or just hacks your website outright. None of us want to be a victim of negative SEO instead wants to protect the website from potential attacks and threats which are present online.

Following are some tactics which you can use to protect your website from negative SEO

1) Regularly audit your links

Monitoring the growth of your link profile is by far the best and easiest way to spot out the suspicious activity before it goes out of control. Also, it a good practice for any kind of business. This growth data is available in form of graph. And, whenever you notice a sudden huge spike or drop and you haven’t been working on any kind of link building, it is an indication that your website is not safe.

2) Replace all kinds of default Username

One should try to create unique username other than- “Admin”. This potentially cuts down the risks of attacks because a potential hacker will not only have to guess the password but the username as well.  You can do this by creating a new admin account. This ensures the protection of your website.

3) Restrict the number of login attempts

All the negative attacks involve repeated attempts to guess the passwords, if you can restrict the number of attempts the attacker can make, you can prevent any kind of unauthorized access. If too many attempts are made, then the IP address gets blocked temporarily. This process also involves the use of captcha verification, which helps to prevent many forced software attacks.

4) Always try your best to protect your website from Malware and Hackers

Security is extremely important. The last thing one wants is spam without his/her knowledge, on his/her website along with the threats of negative SEO all around.

5) Keep an eye on your social media mentions

Though social media proves to be a good platform for the promotion of your website, it also comes with drawbacks of its own. Many times, hackers create some fake accounts using the name of your company. Try to remove all these fake profiles by reporting them as spam before they start to get followers. To find out who is using your tag name you can use various tools like- Mention.net. So, as soon as anyone uses your brand name on social media, you will be informed and you can take further actions.

So, by following above mentioned easy steps you can protect your website from all sorts of negative SEO tactics and work smoothly without any kind of worry as well.

How To Calculate The Right PPC Budget For Your Business

Business Advice No Comment

Pay Per Click or PPC budget is a tricky one for a business as it requires planning and calculations just like any other advertising strategies yet it is something that may be considered to pull up the sales to a desirable platform where other means may be failing.

First, planning is required to determine the aim you wish to achieve with this budget. The main aim is acquiring a desired or estimated number of customers while paying not beyond a specific limit within a set time period. Therefore, the objective is something that is specific, can be measured and achieved, relevant and also time bound.

To determine the budget, certain formulae can be used to determine possible conversions of prospective customers and accordingly a budget can be set. But it’s not that easy. You will also be required to determine competitor’s activities with regard to paid advertising strategies, researching on appropriate keywords and also cost per customer.

How to determine lead generation?

Let’s first consider the formulae available to decide upon lead generation.

  • (Revenue / Sales Period) / Average Sale = Number of Customers
  • Number of customers / Conversion Rate = Number of leads
  • Number of leads / Conversion Rate on Traffic = Amount of Traffic

If we fill the equations with some real numbers, we will arrive at a possible lead generation value through which we can determine if the PPC budget is worth considering or not. If it’s worth it then, we go to the next step that is to analyze competitor activities.

Analyzing competitor activities

Analyzing the Google AdWords of competitors is the next step which can be achieved using software like SpyFu and Moz Pro. These can give you lot of details about expenditure, keywords that are targeted and advertisements. Accordingly, a rough estimate can be drawn to guess the budget of competitors. However, that’s not enough as it’s the keywords that determine the volume of traffic and also the cost effectiveness.

Understanding Keywords Research

In order to determine which keywords will fetch more bulk of traffic with less expenditure, a sound keyword research is required. Google AdWords is a free tool which will help to determine the most used keywords. Using the following formula we can determine a rough estimate of annual traffic:-

Monthly keyword searches X Click-Through Rate = Estimated Monthly Traffic X 12 =Estimated Annual Traffic

Based on results, you can determine the budget either by increasing keywords to achieve the business objective or whether the leads which pour in through other advertising means like social media, SEO and email should be increased.

Determining a PPC budget is challenging in the sense that lot of assumptions and pre-conditions have to be decided based on various factors like previous experience and research of variables and doing the calculations to reach a plausible amount of expenditure. The main aim is to fill up possible gaps present in rest of the advertising strategies while remaining within expenditure limit.

Google Jobs Search Engine

When Google was launched years back, its sole intention was to drive people closer to the information they need. Over the last 13 years, that is exactly what Google has been doing! Also, the search engine strives to make it bigger and better each day. This is what leads us to the new, big Google launch! A new initiative, going by the name of Google Jobs, is all set to hit the floors to get American job seekers a chance to explore their career. This particular initiative collects and collates information about millions of job postings across the globe to bridge the gap between employers and job seekers.

Google takes it up as a challenge to get the right kinds of jobs for the right people. In order words, the world’s largest search engine will be mapping the jobs available to the appropriate candidates. While Google has taken up many difficult search requests in the past, this will be another medal to add to its achievements!

In spite of there being several employment websites across the globe, 46% of the employers say that they are not getting the aptest talent for their job openings or positions. It is true that there are a lot of job seekers at present, but there seems to be a bit of disconnection between the two spheres: the employers and the potential employees. This is what Google wants to do away with and have a smooth and consistent job search process.

But there is a slight difference about Google’s operations in this case. In the quest to provide job searches to potential candidates, Google is actually not taking on the traditional or well-established employment sites. Instead, it is partnering with them in order to bring out the best results for the users! So, names like Glassdoor, Monster, CareerBuilder will not be competitors to Google in this regard; instead, they will be working simultaneously with the search engine to reach out to more people.

One really attractive feature of Google Jobs is its efficient filtering system. For instance, when you search for a particular kind of a job, any search engine is expected to give you a number of results for you to work with. But when it comes to Google Jobs, you will be able to filter the search results based on the location, category, posting date, types of part-time or full-time jobs, even availability of transportation. With these filters on, you would be able to narrow down your search to your exact requirement. In fact, information like commute time from your location would also be displayed on the site.

According to Google CEO Sundar Pichai, “The challenge of connecting job seekers to better information on job availability is like many search challenges we’ve solved in the past.”

It would be rather interesting to see how well Google caters to the job-seeking audience!

So, if you’re looking for a job? Just GOOGLE it!

Reasons Your PPC Programs Can Fail

Business Advice No Comment

PPC (Pay-Per-Click) campaign is used by various companies. According to marketers, PPC is associated with an incredible value in order to create the business awareness among the mass. Some companies find it a very successful means to grow their business, but some of them can’t succeed with this.

Using PPC, many companies grow their business from small customers to a large number of customers. But, because of some silly mistakes, some companies end up the story by wasting a huge amount of money. Actually, the problem of failure can be the result of some most common mistakes. The companies that properly monitor, test, and execute the campaign, hardly face any depressive situation with PPC.

So, in this article, we will talk about some most common reasons behind the PPC failure. Let’s catch them one by one.

Impatience

The fact is that most of the companies don’t spend much amount of money to test the combinations of the keyword, to get sufficient leads for improving quality score, to get the correct strategies of keywords and so on.

But, to taste the joy of success, the first investment should be larger than the monthly PPC expenditure in order to test, improve, measure and build expectations on the quality of leads, CPL (Cost per Lead), and the value of the conversion. PPC is not about a single project, but it’s a continuous process that requires a significant amount of time for improvement and should be managed by an efficient marketing team.

No idea about customer interests

Most of the customers don’t want to purchase from the PPC click campaigns. At first, they want to perform a thorough research before taking their decision. The companies generally provide a number of options to convert the search visitors into the engaging customers. Some of these options are subscription, demonstration sign up, white paper download and so on.

If the visitors are not signing up, it doesn’t necessarily mean the company will not get the traffic to its program. But, the companies have to keep their eyes on all the conversion options and the visitor activities that may convert into conversion. Some of the customers can start showing their interest through white paper downloading or e-mail subscription, so you should always alert with your customers’ options of interest. This way, these interests can be included in the PPC campaigns.

Incorrect campaign tracking

Many companies have only one landing page that serves for both of the organic purpose as well as paid traffic purpose and most of the time, they are not associated with any campaign tracker to differentiate these two purposes in the analytics. PPC can be a superb strategy in this regard. But, a professional analytics team is required in order to distinguish between those two purposes as well as measure the PPC campaign success.

The design of the landing page should be eye-catching so that the customers can feel the enthusiasm engaging with the site as well as the content of the landing page should be interesting and simple enough to attract the mass. The goal related to PPC should be clear enough in order to achieve the success. With the crystal clear strategy, you don’t have to end up the story by only wasting the money that is you can get your desired success.

Paid Search VS. Organic Search

SEO Tips No Comment

Before differentiating between the two, it’s important to know what does paid search and organic search refers to.

When you search anything on Google, two types of search results are displayed. Google provides two different ways to gain traffic namely by paid search and organic search. These are two different ways adopted for acquiring traffic to your site. This method of acquiring traffic is called search engine marketing (SEM) and search engine optimization respectively (SEO).

Paid search

In paid search, the companies pay for their results to appear on the top of the screen above all the organic search results. The paid searches are advertisements and a small yellow box with ‘Ad’ is displayed with such results. People still fail to recognize them as ads and click on them. This is the reason alone why paid searches have become popular than organic search. The company doesn’t have to wait for the SEO to build up; they can directly get the pass to appear on the page of Google search results by paying for it.

Google Adwords is a Google program which provides for paid search. It is the most famous and used PPC (pay-per-click) program available for marketing. Google Adwords is a really effective program and accounts for about 70% of the Google’s revenue.

Getting started with Google Adwords is easy and can be profitable for your company once you are set right for it. Paid search can attract a lot of traffic to your website and can even outright the benefits of organic search.

Organic search

When you search anything on Google, the results that appear below the paid results in large numbers are the ‘organic results’. These are the natural searches that have make up to the top page of Google search results because of their quality of content. The traffic that is gathered to their website from these links is called the ‘organic search’ traffic. It is purely the hard work of the company and SEO that their website is a part of the organic search. These are genuine and truly exceptional websites.

Organic traffic is the most preferable and valuable means of gathering traffic to a website. Where paid search involves only 3 to 4 results on the top page, ten organic search results are displayed on the first page of Google search results. This accounts for the maximum amount of traffic. Organic results are the most trusted results by researchers.

Image from: Blue Corona

Google displays the extremely best and high-quality content on its first five results and is very particular about rankings. Being displayed in the top 10 ranking of organic search is very fruitful to the company. But this requires a lot of time and effort.

Both the paid search and organic search has its advantages and disadvantages. If you need to choose either of the two for your company’s website, you need to take down note of your budget; the time period in which you want positive results or rather you are only concerned with true fruit regardless of the time it takes.

They are now part of the Diastasis Rehab business team after working with them almost a year now. I cannot even imagine having another company managing my Presta shopping cart. After a bad experience with a programmer, I needed a new programmer (one that knew prestashop shopping cart) and most important one that I could trust. Finding all three was a difficult process! Lucky for me I found them. I cannot say enough about the diversity of services that this company provides. Every step of the way they make amazing suggestions to increase my sales and they get back to be right away either by email or phone. They have even created a simple and easy check out program for Presta Shop. They are actually a one stop shop! They updated my SSL, are setting up and changing my server to a dedicated one, setting up streaming of my DVD, website design, creating a specific program for address verification on Presta cart and handled the integration of Presta cart with my fulfillment house.
